Kape Miarayon
Project class: Enabling Infrastructure
Kape Miarayon is a coffee processing facility in Talakag, Bukidnon, owned and operated by Roel Saburnido, with GEIA, Kape Miarayon and Tribes and Nature Defenders Inc. (TRINAD) as partners. The facility is designed to cover drying, sorting, roasting, grinding, packing and storage. Equipment has been installed in part of the existing building, which is being enlarged, and the operator is progressing food-safety licensing with the Philippine FDA. GEIA classifies it as Enabling Infrastructure: it supports the coffee value chain around the Sacred Forest Coffee Project rather than restoring land itself. Producer numbers, throughput, export readiness and restoration outcomes have not yet been evidenced.
